i shall stop talking (for once in a long time) about diets, exercises, fats, etc..
today i shall talk about an amazing event.. an event that rocked my world yesterday evening.. an event named eurythmy..
i am talking about a guitar concert i attended.. a concert by the best ever ensemble in my eyes.. the SA Guitar Ensemble, affectionately known as SAGE.. MY guitar ensemble.. the best in the world.. (:
in terms of performance.. i wouldn't say it was fabulous.. hahaha.. but it was a good job.. a really good job.. to the rest of the audience it may not seem like it was.. but to me, and i believe the rest of the seniors, it was wonderful.. watching us come this far.. looking at such a big group playing on the stage.. staging a concert they can call their own.. it's amazing.. and i'm so so so so so so so proud of them.. proud beyond words..
looking back.. there was a time when we had problems getting people to play.. there was a time when we had to teach each other without a conductor.. there was a time when we didn't even have a room to practise in.. there was a time when we had to fight to survive.. there was a time when we were so desperate that we had to find all ways and means to get juniors to join (and stay on).. there was a time when i handled all the juniors' registrations.. and because of those times.. i feel a connection, not only between myself and the ensemble, but also between myself and every junior that we have.. and watching them.. i feel so proud.. like a mother watching her babies take their first step.. hahaha.. *rolls eyes at myself*
but i kinda miss them.. they're such a fun, friendly, full-of-rubbish bunch.. umm.. when it's not time to practise.. haha.. i always thought that i wouldn't miss any part of JC life at all.. cuz i wasn't attached to it.. but it seems i was wrong.. it seems sage has left a deeper impact on my life than i had imagined.. and i miss it.. this may very well be the last time i'm going to see all my juniors together, the concert being the last event they have.. after that.. maybe i'll still see a handful of them next year at various sage events.. hopefully.. haha..
to any juniors reading this.. which will probably be like none.. i am so proud of you!! (:
junior yet senior
quiet yet loud
serious yet playful
charming and still charming..
*winks at anna* (:
